Last weekend I participated in a free art give away called, "It's Yours Take It". It was super fun, and it got me motivated into trying something new.
I was in a bit of a knitting funk, and wasn't feeling very inspired.
Now, I am creating something new, and though it is very Vancouver centric, you can catch up
here on Flickr™.
This is not the first time that I've had a virtual kick in the arse by Jerm9 and ninja! Thanks kids for the motivation.
Anyone living here in Vancouver has seen these millions of stickers everywhere throughout the city for at least 10 years or more. Though I don't see the feisty Jamaican lady in front of Woodwards any longer, her spirit and spunk will definitely live on!
Keep your eyes peeled!!
Hilarious - glad to see you are fearlessly out there again - making the world a better, happier, fiberinfused place to be
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - I remember those being scattered all over Vancouver when I first moved here. I've always regretted not taking one of those signs - I really want a knit one!
ReplyDeleteI wondered what happened to those signs. I used to see them all over the place. And I didn't realize it was that lady who sat in front of the Woodwards who wrote them.
ReplyDeleteLove your knitted one. I'll keep an eye for your knitting bombs in my travels around town.
Hello Strathcozies!
ReplyDeleteI'm from Arsenal Pulp Press and we're super excited about our new book Yarn Bombing: The Art of Crochet and Knit Graffiti! We've set up a widget to celebrate the book that can be found at our blog (www.arsenalia.com). We'd love it if you could add it to your website and help promote yarn graffiti across the tubes of the interwebs!
